The Ancestors Resource Directory features state-by-state listings of resources that may help your genealogy research.
This directory is not a comprehensive source,
but a general listing of resources available to you. Telephone numbers, e-mail address, and URLs (web-site
addresses) are subject to change as are addresses for genealogical societies.
The libraries
and archives listed here are state resources. They do not include individual names or information. For local libraries and archives, check the
American Library Directory (New Providence, NJ. R.R. Bowker Company, 49th edition, volume 1).
This directory is published annually and is a comprehensive listing of libraries and archives
in the United States with detailed information on holdings. Most libraries carry the American
Library Directory.
Other state-by-state resources available include: Elizabeth Petty Bentley,
The Genealogists Address Book (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., fourth
