Small Fortunes examines how a revolutionary loan system - microcredit - is helping to break the cycle of poverty in some of the world's poorest regions. Designed to assist the "poorest of the poor", the microcredit program provides small, short-term loans - often for less than $100 - to entrepreneurial individuals with little or no collateral. This program highlights the remarkable difference that loans of even a few dollars can make in the lives of families that are fighting to lift themselves out of poverty.

Authentic choreography, intricate costumes, and heart-pounding music bring to life the beauty of traditional cultures often forgotten in today's modern world. From the graceful Hawaiian Hula, to Mexican Fiesta dances of celebration, to the excitement and beauty of a Native American Powwow, this year's Living Legends performance reflects the cycle of civilization. The dances portray the changing seasons experienced by ancient cultures, weaving together legends of the past with the reality of today.
